Ryan Ferrin - (Representative)

Regular (Technique):

This camp started it all!  The first year (2006) I had 15 wrestlers (1 week).  The word soon spread about the camp and in the second year (2007) I had over 70 wrestlers (3 weeks).  One great thing about this camp is the low numbers allowed in (20-24 max per week).  Your son will walk out of my camp learning the moves they were taught.  During this camp, I will cover a high-percentage scoring system consisting of moves from the feet, top and bottom.  Athletes will go through three very structured drill sessions per day and get a feel for each move taught.  When you aren't in practice drilling you will be involved in such activities as:  Team Building, Archery, Canoeing/Kayaking, Swimming, Pellet Gun Safety/Shooting, Fishing, Wiffle Ball, Goal Setting, Etc.

5 Day Intensive Camp:

Due to a lot of interest in me doing an Intensive Camp, I have decided to do a 5 day camp this summer (2008).  This camp will be like no other intensive camp out there. Most intensive camps make you train 3-4 times a day for numerous days, but never really TEACH you how to train for the sport of wrestling.  I have worked at different intensive camps and campers would always ask me the same question: "Can I train like this everyday all year around?   I soon realized these camps were just working the death out of kids but not actually helping them learn to train which in return helps the USA have better wrestlers.  There will be 4 workouts a day but you will be learning how to train.  The other great thing about this camp is when you aren't in practices you will get to do the following:  Team Building, Archery, Canoeing/Kayaking, Swimming, Pellet Gun Safety/Shooting, Fishing, Wiffle Ball, Goal Setting, Etc.
Daily Schedule:
Workout 1:  Morning Run/Lift
Workout 2:  Technique/Match Strategy
Workout 3: LIVE Wrestling
Workout 4:  Review of Technique and Mental

Please Note: Due to the demand put on the wrestlers mentally/physically this is only for 8th grade and up.  Also please come in shape!

Father/Son:

Due to a lot of interest in me doing a Father/Son camp, I have decided to do a weekend Father/Son Camp this summer (2008).  Fathers will get to wrestle along with their sons and learn this great sport.  Any activity your son does you will do!!  Wrestler will drill moves on their dads and also on other wrestlers in the room.  This will be a great weekend to really bond!   When you aren't in practice drilling you (both fathers and sons) will be involved in such activities as:  Team Building, Archery, Canoeing/Kayaking, Swimming, Pellet Gun Safety/Shooting, Fishing, Wiffle Ball, Goal Setting, Etc.
